Interview with Bernardo Faria, absoluto winner of the Brazilian Nationals.
What do you think about the level of Brazilian Nationals?
I think that the level was very good, this tournament had a lot of great fighters and all divisions were very competitive.
What do you think about your fights?
I liked my fights a lot, because each tournament I fell that my BJJ is getting better. In the open class I did 4 fights in the total, and in these fights my opponents only made 2 points on me, so I`m so happy because I fought very well.
What is your next goal this year?
My next goal is the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship that will 5 and 6 June, so now I`m really focused on that.
Who do you think was the biggest surprise at Abu Dhabi Pro 2010?
I think that the biggest surprise was Claudio Calasans who won his division and Open Class.
How often do you train?
I train 3 times a day: 2 times BJJ and 1 time physical and conditioning.
How do you prepare for a competition?
I train very very hard every day, and I try to dedicate as much as I can, so when the tournament comes, I fell good, because I know that I did everything that I could to be the champion.
Is there anyone you would like to thank?
Yes, I would like to thank my ex-teacher Ricardo Marques, and my teacher Fabio Gurgel, because everything that I know in BJJ I learned from them. And I want say thanks to everybody who is praying for me and for you guys for this interview.
