Peter Sobotta´s road to UFC 115: Camp in San Diego

Peter talks about his camp in Throwdown San Diego and  difference between european and american camps.
I train twice a day. When the training is hard, it´s short (about 60 minutes, when we do techniques its longer 120 min)
Monday: Grappling Fights // Diffrent MMA Sparrings, Conditioning
Tuesday: Padwork // MMA Technique
Wednesday: Grappling Fights // Diffrent MMA Sparrings, Conditioning
Thurusday: Padwork // MMA Technique
Friday: Technique // Sparring
Saturday: Sparring

I make a lot of sparring here. Much more I ever did. Diffrent kinds of sparring. Sometimes just boxing with takedowns, sometimes just Kickboxing, etc. The technique sparring is very specific. The trainiers watch how i train and how i fight and we work on my weakness. We also watched the fights of my opponent, so the training is specific.  I have a lot of good trainingpartners here. 15 Blackbelts, a lot of good wrestlers. About 10 Pro Fighter.

A big diffrence to Europe is the wrestling. The guys over here are very good wrestlers. Of course there are some high level grapplers here, but in my opinion the level of the bjj fighters in berserker’s team is better.
I think that the best MMA Fighter in this gym is Tomasz Drwal. He helped me a lot, but unfortunately he left San diego last week. He went to Chicago. In my Poland camp i felt more familiar. The Camp here is great, but MMA here is a big business. At home and in Poland the team was more like a family.
